OU Light: [Briefly nose pinching from where he stands, and sighs. The first out of a fury of thoughts coming to his cunning steel trap of a mind is, That idiot! What the hell does she think she’s doing?! This doesn’t really show in his expression. Light suppresses that immense frustration he feels—with just a hint of rage--down to much annoyance and displeasure.
With what little choices he has, he’ll obviously choose reasoning over losing his cool and spouting off threats he knows won’t be processed into decisive action. This place is a public one at that, and he already knows that Mello has been around here.
There’s his younger self nearby, too... The pressure piles up on top of what is already there as he’ll appear as a professional man of the law in front of him.]
I told you to stop, more than once, but you decided to make this account anyway.
Can’t you see I’m busy? We both know how important it is for the Kira case to be solved. You know how much this means to me. I can’t be somewhere else, let alone your musebox community. [She couldn’t just ignore me, damn it! If only I didn’t have to send the Death Note to Mikami... It doesn’t matter whether or not I get her real name now. But she doesn’t have any clear decisions, so if I could just get her to listen to reason-then I could be back at headquarters...]
You really should quit this impulsive habit of yours, Mun, when “fandom hopping” as you term it. It’s frustrating for a lot of individuals! There are all these monsters roaming around too, and it’s not right to just leave them where they are.
Are you even sure you know what you’re intending to do here? With either one of us?
[Of course he acknowledges this other Light. He’d be a complete idiot not to. How much does does his past self know about the Death Note though? Does L still live?
Misa still has the shinigami eyes and hasn’t lost her memory again. Dad’s still alive. There’s no doubt about any of that... Why did she pick a younger version of me anyway? To mess with me two times over?! This Mun woman? Yeah, she has to die. She’s in Kira’s way, and she’s a lunatic. In his mind, she is by no means innocent compared to the filth that have already gone through judgment.
He’d kill her with his bare hands if it wasn’t for the goddamn Mun/Muse barrier thing!]
AU Light: [Can’t disagree with older self there, even though he’s not sure about everything that was said. Kira case...?] Clearly we both have places to be, and we don’t have time for whatever chaos it is you want to start. [His expression is a very disapproving one.] Forget about making that other account, because I can’t stay here. [Disapproval shifts to a glare as his hands are fists at his sides.] There’s someone I just met. She’s hurt and scared, and I promised to help her.
[His gaze lowers as he’s frustrated. This Light doesn’t hide how he truly feels, because he cares about most right now is to bring justice to the bastard who attacked, kidnapped, and most likely terrorized the innocent named Mari—that coincidentally is the same first name of this other American young woman he had met in Headspace Nexus.] We’d help the others if we could. I feel sorry for the new friends we made there, but I intend to keep my word.
OU: [Original Manga Light shifts his focus away from Mun. I don’t think I remember that. Something feels off here as he looks to his younger self, looking genuinely concerned.] What happened? [Would I be ruining our timeline here? I know about meeting different people from various worlds and times, but--well, it’s too late now. I already asked.] This may sound really weird, but I can’t remember who it is you speak of. So, would you help refresh my memory here?
AU: [He stares at his future self, startled.] Seriously? How could you forget about Mari? She’s not really the one we know more recently. This is a different looking Mari...
I saw her outside at school hours ago, knocked out. Takinawa-sensei couldn’t come to the hospital to see if she would be all right, because he had to go see his sister about something. And by the time Mari-san woke up, she was—really, how could you forget about all this?! What about her notebook, with the strange writing inside, or that she wasn’t able to call her father because the phone company turned the home number off?
OU: [That flicker of shock in his eyes came and went so fast before closing them shut. What?! He can’t be talking about the Death Note! From what I know, I was there to pick it up. No one else really looked at it... That had to be the day when... He looks and talks just like me, but he can’t be me. This is WRONG! IT’S ALL WRONG! AND WORST OF ALL...it seems younger Light never got to test it out.]
[OU Light just barely holds it together. No. He will not lose control here. He has to get in control—and know the answers to the questions that make his mind scream WTF IS GOING ON?!?] A notebook with strange writing and rules... Yeah, I remember this now. [Of course he's half-lying about that. He looks back at AU, serious. I’ll have to find out more about this other Mari, and set it right—but not here. It’s way too risky... He’ll improvise from here. His past self—if it truly IS him—doesn’t seem to know anything about the Death Note or its powers.] But did you know it’s dangerous to talk about that here? In fact, I think we should discuss this further without the Mun person hanging around.
AU: [That raises an eyebrow.] The notebook is top secret? Why? It's just a notebook someone must have wrote in as some sort of prank, right? It's just something the other Mari had found, where she came from.
OU: [But it's not hers. She's lying to him...] It has to do with the case I'm working on. It's very serious, and I'll confide to you about it--but elsewhere.
[Sooner or later, Mun's gonna have to get the Brain Bleach for AU Light--but for now that could wait. Gonna get back to Mari B.'s tagging and doing more of OU's profile tonight.]
